Pinus strobus 'Louie' (Eastern White Pine), an evergreen conifer with a broad upright pyramidal habit and soft, fine, appealing golden leaf, is regarded by many as one of the best of the golden white pines. The year-round tint of the long, thin needles doesn't change. Once established, the needles won't scorch in direct sunlight, preserving the landscape's vibrant hue. This exquisite White Pine grows over 8 to 10 inches (20 to 25 cm) every year, which making it a relatively quick specimen plant.
