Ninebark, Little Devil #3
LITTLE DEVIL NINEBARK
PHYSOCARPUS OPULIFOLIUS 'DONNA MAY'
Small Devil Ninebark stands out from other ninebarks with its upright spreading habit and fine-textured, black foliage. Little Devil requires little to no pruning and is resistant to mildew. It also has no pest or disease problems and can thrive in either dry or wet soil. In June, petite, purplish-white flower clusters bloom, creating a lovely contrast with the burgundy leaves. In regions of the country where barberry is invasive, Little Devil works well as a replacement.
