Lungwort, Pulmonaria 'High Contrast', is a clump-forming, compact perennial with huge, outward-facing clusters of pink blooms that mature to blue in the spring. If pruned after blooming, the dazzling foliage of wavy, spear-shaped, dark green leaves decorated with melting silver is just as lovely and keeps its beauty all season long. This lovely lungwort is evergreen in moderate winter climates, resistant to powdery mildew, tolerant of heat, and a great choice for shady gardens even in the South.
