Towards summer’s end, bright yellow flowers with dark brown cones begin to appear on upright and vigorous 3-4’ tall foliage, lasting well into fall to the delight of many pollinators. Native to swampy areas of the Southeastern U.S., it prefers moist soil and tolerates extended periods of wet conditions. Disease resistant. Plant 36” apart.
