Juniper, Gold Cone Spiral #10
Gold Cone Juniper
Juniperus communis 'Gold Cone'
When mature, the Gold Cone Juniper grows to produce an erect column with moderate growth that is only approximately 5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. Its fresh leaf emerges in the spring as a vibrant yellow color and develops into a deep copper hue by the following winter. Coloration and growth rate are dependent on the environment, although full light in zones 5 through 7 is optimal. The Gold Cone is a unique addition to a rock garden, but it would probably be most helpful in a planter on the porch.
