Leucothoe, Paisley Pup #2
Paisley Pup® Doghobble
Leucothoe fontanesiana
This native shrub from North America, sometimes called doghobble, drooping laurel, and fetterbush, develops as a gently spreading mound that is ideal for turning troublesome areas into a lush, colorful canvas that requires almost no upkeep. The new growth appears throughout the season in a variety of colors, including pink, white, green, and yellow, creating a constantly shifting, whirling show that brightens shaded areas. For added beauty and interest, graceful chains of fragrant, bell-shaped, white blooms hang from the arching branches in late spring and early summer.
