The Obsession Nandina is a more recent version of these well-liked plants. It has vivid red leaf in the fall, even in warmer climates where fall color is frequently modest, and dramatic red new growth in the spring. Its compact growth, which limits it to a maximum height of 4 feet and a maximum width of 3 feet, makes it the ideal, colorful option for any area of your garden where you need low shrubs to fill your beds or to make lovely edges and low borders. Although it closely resembles bamboo, it is not invasive and won't grow far, making it a top choice for an Asian aesthetic in a smaller garden.
