Blackberry, Sweet Ark Ladder #5
These large blackberries are bursting with exceptional flavor, with low acidity and a lovely scent. They are perfect for eating directly from the garden, using as a topping for cereal or yogurt, making into jams and jellies, and adding to baked goods.
This early-season variety blooms in April and begins setting fruit in June. In addition, this Ponca Blackberry can produce a secondary bud crop that begins ripening about 2 weeks after the first harvest of primary crop berries. It will adapt beautifully when planted in landscapes, as an accent, or in containers.
