In the spring, the small, upright tree blooms with drooping white flowers. Black delicious berries with a purple tint follow the flowers. The foliage, which has an oval shape, starts out coppery-red and turns deep green in the summer. The leaves turn a striking vivid red in the fall. from the full sun to some shade.
